Background

Born Henry Louis Aaron in Mobile, Alabama, Hank Aaron began his career in the Negro Leagues before signing with the Milwaukee Braves in 1952.

Career

He spent 21 seasons with the Braves franchise in Milwaukee and Atlanta, then two final seasons with the Milwaukee Brewers. On April 8, 1974, he hit his 715th home run to surpass Babe Ruth’s longstanding record.
